"I just wanted to tell you how very much we appreciate your tech's quick response to our request. We did not know if we could accomplish moving our data remotely, but as the went on it was clear it was going to work. ... Again, I sincerely appreciate the technical support Ascentis provided to us on Friday, and I apologize for the short notice. Please extend my thanks to all of the individuals involved in making this happen."

Ascentis HR Employee Finder makes locating employees easy!

Ascentis HR contains an Employee Finder which can be used to quickly locate employees records within Employee Manager.

The Employee Finder can be accessed by clicking on the folder button icon from the Employee Navigational Toolbar:

Employee Navigational Toolbar

The employees shown in the Employee Finder can be determined by these settings, but you can do much more. You can actually pick a group of employees to work with!

Employee Finder

Let's say you need to change compensation information for the employees in the Seattle location. You could open the Compensation window and pick each employee one by one by typing in the employee's last name and finding the record.

Another option is to (temporarily) show only the employees in the Seattle location in Employee Manager. To do this:

  1. Click on the "Field displayed in column 4" pull-down and select "Location."
  2. Click on the "Sort/Search by" pull-down and select location.
  3. Uncheck the "Show all Employees" check box.
  4. Click on the "Search for" pull-down - pick Seattle.

Now you can open the Compensation window and modify Julie's record, then click on the arrow icon from the Employee Navigational Toolbar and modify Marianna's compensation record. No searching!

When you are finished, click back into the Employee Finder and check the "Show all Employees" check box.
