Ascentis Announces the Development of MSS and Upgraded New Hire Reporting

I want to take this opportunity to briefly update you on two exciting product enhancements that are currently in development for our clients:

  1. Manager Self-Service (MSS) for our HR clients will complement the Employee Self-Service (ESS) capability that has proven to be so successful. MSS will allow managers in a corporation to access the information associated with their teams and perform the activities and approvals required in an electronic - rather than paper-based - process. We are also very excited about the new look and feel this module will provide for both the ESS and MSS in our payroll and HR services.
  2. Ascentis has also upgraded the New Hire Reporting for our payroll clients. This will allow us to be in a better position to quickly respond to state changes by making this an entirely table-driven, flexible process. As you may know, each state sets its own rules concerning new hire reporting requirements and we are confident this will allow us to greatly assist our clients in meeting their reporting obligations.

We continue to upgrade our products and services to make them more effective and, equally as important, we work hard to live up to our brand value of HR and Payroll Made Easy.

Manager Self-Service Will be Released September 30

Ascentis Manager Self-Service (MSS) is scheduled to be released on September 30. MSS will enable managers to maintain and manage their employees while keeping as much oversight as HR needs. With Ascentis MSS, managers can perform reviews, promote or transfer, give raises, perform salary calculations and define “What If” compensation scenarios. Unlimited and customizable approval workflows will allow HR to maintain control over the entire approval process. Ascentis MSS will have a new, easy-to-use and intuitive user interface that will allow managers to quickly ramp up. If you have any questions, please contact your account manager.

Ascentis Announces the Release of Ascentis Payroll 3.0
Enhancements include new tools and features that make payroll more intuitive and efficient.

Among other enhancements, this latest Ascentis Payroll upgrade offers calendar-based payroll processing, a time-saving technique that allows payroll to be scheduled in advanced.

  • Users can schedule payroll ahead of the payroll cycle on their own, saving time and making changes when necessary.
  • In addition, hourly employees' pay can be split by the same percentage even if they do not work the same number of hours each pay period.
  • And for clients whose employees move around from state to state -- changing their work state for income tax purposes but retaining the original state for SUI -- a new field has been added to allow for greater flexibility and ease of use.

Tool calculates savings gained from automating benefits management, employee communications and payroll functionality.
